Have A Worry-Free Holiday Gathering

Just a few days from now, you will have an entire house full of family for the Holidays and you need to be ready. Now is NOT the time to panic! Put these simple steps to the test to bust Holiday pressures!

Keep staples on hand.

Every year around the Holidays, I like to keep my fridge stocked with staples like Hiland Dairy milk, butter, heavy whipping cream, sour cream and dips for those last-minute recipes.

Make a list and check it twice.

Plan all your meals (don’t forget the snacks) and jot down all the ingredients you will need. Before heading to the store, comb through your cupboards for ingredients you already have on hand and make a list of everything else you need to buy. This way, you’ll only need to head to the store once, creating some major free time for other projects.

Buy early and wrap often.

Every time you buy a gift, try to wrap it as soon as you get home. You don’t want to be Santa’s little elf who is up until the wee hours the night before opening presents. You NEED your sleep!

Stock up on easy snacks.

Sometimes less is more. Breakfast can be as simple as Hiland Dairy Yogurt sprinkled with fresh fruit and an afternoon snack of chips and Hiland Dairy Dips are always a favorite in our home.

Don’t go overboard.

You don’t have to decorate every nook and cranny of your home. Your family won’t remember the décor as much as the stories and laughter that come from the Holidays.

Have a worry-free Holiday gathering by having a couple board games on hand that your family will enjoy playing & a couple of decks of cards. Keep meals simple & have plenty of snacks on hand. Have fun & remember that things don’t have to be “perfect”.
