Transport Deliciousness in Style with a DIY Food Carrier
It’s the season of perpetual partying so make sure you don’t ring that doorbell without irresistible munchies in hand. Show up to your next shindig with this portable pail that functions as a carrier but also as festive food tray that will add flair to any buffet. The host won’t be left scrambling for an extra tray, and you quickly become the best guest ever!
- 1 Hiland Dairy gallon ice cream pail
- White spray paint
- Glue gun
- Glue sticks
- Thick twine
- Faux assorted leaves
Clean the pail with warm, soapy water. Towel dry completely.
Gently remove the handle from the ice cream pail and set aside. In a well-ventilated area, spray paint the outside of the pail and the top of the lid.
Using the glue gun and glue sticks, adhere the twine around the bottom half of the pail.
Glue twine to the sides and slightly over the rim of the lid.
Next, glue twine to the handle by wrapping it around from one end to the other.
Adhere leaves to the sides of the pail in varying positions.
Add a few leaves to the lid and glue in place.
This carrier is perfect for hot or cold appetizers and desserts. Be sure to separate each level of your goodies with round parchment paper. Before placing your food on the lid for display, place a sheet of parchment on the lid’s top.
