A Hot Breakfast to Get Your Family Moving
When my family is moving at a snail’s pace in the morning, nothing motivates them more than a delicious breakfast. This scrumptious Morning Egg Boat recipe is one of their favorites. Six simple ingredients, one amazing flavor!
Morning Egg Boats
- 2 demi-baguettes
- 5 large eggs
- 1/3 cup Hiland Dairy Heavy Whipping Cream
- 4 ounces cooked bacon bits
- 4 ounces Hiland Dairy Shredded Cheddar Cheese
- 2 green onions, chopped
Preheat oven to 350ºF. In a medium bowl, mix together eggs, whipping cream, bacon bits, cheeses and onions.
Cut long rectangles through the top of the baguettes and partially remove the insides. Discard the excess bread pieces. Be sure not to puncture the bread “boat.”
Place baguettes on a baking sheet and spoon the egg mixture into each hollowed bread boat.
Bake for 25 minutes.
Remove from oven and serve warm.
