March 7 Is National Cereal Day
When was the last time you ate a bowl of cereal? If you’re like a lot of adults, it was probably longer ago than you’d care to remember. That’s because we tend to think of breakfast cereal as kids’ food. But, on March 7, maybe we should dare to be young again and enjoy a crunchy bowl of cereal floating in farm-fresh Hiland Dairy Milk for National Cereal Day.
While we would, of course, encourage you to go with a healthy bowlful of corn flakes or raisin bran topped with some fresh fruit, you’re an adult and can make your own decisions. That means you could decide to be a little naughty and indulge in a moderate portion of some sweet cereal from your childhood — as you round it out with toast, fruit and a glass of cold, refreshing milk (part of a complete breakfast!).
Who knows, maybe celebrating National Cereal Day will get you back into the habit of eating cereal for breakfast every day. And would that be so bad? Too many of us skip breakfast altogether, and a bowl of cereal is something you can prepare quickly and easily. Just be sure to stick with the healthier varieties most of the time; your bowl of Frosted Sugar Zaps should really be reserved for National Cereal Day.
Whatever you choose, make sure you top it with cold, fresh Hiland Dairy Milk. It’s locally produced, loaded with protein and contains NO artificial growth hormones.
So, what do you say? Let’s all raise our spoons and celebrate National Cereal Day!
