Let’s Shake It Up!
It’s National Blueberry Pie Day
Even though this day is set aside to pay homage to blueberry pie, I thought of shaking things up a bit by creating a delicious blueberry protein shake instead.
Blueberry Protein Shake
Ingredients:
- 1 cup Hiland Dairy Vanilla Almond Milk
- 6 oz. Hiland Dairy Lowfat Vanilla Yogurt
- 1 serving protein powder
- 1/2 pint (8 ounces) fresh blueberries
- 1 ripe banana
Directions:
Combine all ingredients into a blender.
Blend until smooth.
Pour into a glass and enjoy!

I like to substitute this protein-loaded shake for lunch to help ward off those afternoon snack attacks.
